Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word format.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 10-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

General Instructions

  • Authorship

Cerebration Science Publishing follows the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) guidelines which state that to qualify for authorship of a manuscript, authors must meet all four criteria:

1. Substantial contributions to the conception or design of the work; or the acquisition, analysis, or interpretation of data for the work; AND
2. Drafting the work or reviewing it critically for important intellectual content; AND
3. Final approval of the version to be published; AND
4. Agreement to be accountable for all aspects of the work in ensuring that questions related to the accuracy or integrity of any part of the work are appropriately investigated and resolved.

Those who contributed to the work but do not qualify for authorship should be listed in the acknowledgments. ICMJE gives more detailed guidance on authorship.

Please carefully check the authorship of your manuscript before submission, any other changes of authorship after submission require a sound scientific justification.

  • Paper submission

Prospective authors are advised to submit papers using the paper submission system.

  • Paper Acceptance

The Editor-in-Chief decides on publication upon recommendation of Editorial Board Members. If the manuscript is accepted for publication in JNIC, it must not be published in any periodical elsewhere without the permission of the editorial board.

  • Proofs

Proofs will be sent to the corresponding author and should be returned within 48 hours of receipt. Corrections should be restricted to typesetting errors; any other corrections may be charged to the authors. Authors are advised to check their proofs very carefully before returning since including late corrections cannot be acceptable. Corrected proofs are to be returned to the publishers.

  • Order of parts

Title of article, authors' names, authors' institutional affiliations and emails, abstract (200-300 words suitable for abstracting services), main text, tables (each starting with a caption) and figure captions, list of symbols and abbreviations (if necessary), acknowledgments (if applicable), funding information, author contribution, conflict of interest, data availability statement (if applicable), numbered list of references, biographical sketch, and original figures.

  • Title

The paper's title should be concise and definitive (with keywords appropriate for retrieval purposes).

  • Author Names and Affiliations

It is JNIC policy that all those who have participated significantly in the technical aspects of a paper be recognized as co-authors or cited in the acknowledgments. In the case of a paper with more than one author, correspondence concerning the paper will be sent to the first author unless staff is advised otherwise.

Author name should consist of first name, middle initial, last name

The author affiliation should consist of the following, as applicable, in the order noted:
- Company or college (with department name or company division)
- Postal address
- City, state, zip code
- Country name
- Telephone, fax, and e-mail

  • Abstract

A short abstract (200-300 words maximum) should open the paper. The purposes of an abstract are:
(1) to give a clear indication of the objective, scope, and results of the paper so that readers may determine whether the full text will be of particular interest to them;
(2) to provide keywords and phrases for indexing, abstracting, and retrieval purposes.
The abstract should not attempt to condense the whole subject matter into a few words for quick reading.

  • References

The references should be brought at the end of the article, and numbered in the order of their appearance in the paper. The reference list should be cited under the following examples:

Types of Publications 

For the Journal of Networked and Innovative Computing, there is no limit on the maximum length of manuscripts, as long as they are concise and comprehensive.

Manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Networked and Innovative Computing should neither be published previously nor be under consideration for publication in another journal. The article types are listed below:

Original Article

Original Articles refer to an article based on original research. The article should include the most recent and relevant references in the field. Original Articles should have the following structures: 1. Abstract, 2. Keywords, 3. Introduction, 4. Materials and Methods, 5. Results, 6. Discussion, and 7. Conclusions (optional) Sections.

Review

Reciews summarize the significant advances in this field in recent years with a comprehensive and balanced perspective, and offer a future outlook. Reviews should have the following structures: 1. Abstract, 2. Keywords, 3. Introduction, 4. Relevant Sections, 5. Discussion, and 6. Conclusions Sections.
